Sango Kaku

Also known as a "Coral Bark," Sango Kaku is a small, to medium sized tree noted for its coral-red bark that is particularly showy in the fall/winter when its leaves drop.  The foliage will be a green-yellow color in the spring and summer;  turning to bright yellow in the fall.  The color intesifies in the cold weather to salmon.  Leaves produce the best color in full sun, however new foliage may scorch.  Plant in full sun/parial shade. Moist to well-drained soil.  Slow-medium growth rate reaching 20'-25' tall,  with a 15'-20' spread.
